Curbside fall yard waste collection has been extended through Sunday, Nov. 24. Here's what you need to know:

  1. Fall leaf and yard waste collection began on Sunday, Sept. 29 and will continue until Sunday, Nov. 24. Yard waste materials such as leaves, weeds, flowers, vines and other non-fruit or vegetable materials may be placed in the curb-line of the street during this period.

    • Note that grass clippings are not considered yard waste and are not accepted at the city dump or collected with yard waste collection.

    • Leave grass clippings in place or consider starting a compost pile. You can also use grass clippings as mulch under trees and shrubs at home.

    • Do not rake grass clippings into the street.

    • View other tips here to make sure your yard waste is set out correctly for pick up.

  2. Weekly brush collection of sticks, tree/shrub trimmings and branches ended Friday, Oct. 4. After this date, brush can be brought to the Municipal Yard. Charges may apply.

  3. The Morgan Avenue drop-off site closed for the season on Friday, Sept. 27.
