Operating a Food Truck
Anyone operating a food truck, trailer, or pushcart must have the following:
A Food License issued by the Southwest Suburban Health Department or a food license from other jurisdictions/municipalities in the state of Wisconsin.
A Service Base license or Retail Food Establishment License for the service base or variance for no service base from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP).
Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate, if necessary.
Failure to obtain and display the above will result in a citation and the inability to operate.

License fees are based on the complexity of the food processes.
Food truck vendors licensed by the Southwest Suburban Health Department are not charged an additional inspection fee.
